KYLIE MEPHAM Student Teacher Kylie began dancing with Blue Suede Shoes in 1994 at the age of eight and fell in love with the dancing, music and style of the 40’s and 50’s. Over the following ten years she completed medals with Honours and competed in styles of rock ‘n’ roll, swing and latin at a high standard. In 2004, after assisting with teaching classes for several years, Kylie attained her Student Teachers qualifications and began running her own venue at Bligh Park offering adults classes in swing, rock ‘n’ roll and latin as well as social jazz classes for children. Kylie took a break from teaching to attend university in 2006 and jumped headfirst back into the dance scene in early 2009, resuming a teaching role with Blue Suede Shoes as well as working towards higher qualifications and training and performing with the Sydney Swing Katz. Kylie will be progressing onto her Level 1 Teachers Certificate in 2010.
