Anna Ocello is the founding member of the Blue Suede Shoes Dance School. Anna's lifelong love of dance led to her initial interest in Ballroom and Latin Dancing. In the early 1990's she also became involved in the RocknRoll movement through the Australian RocknRoll Dancesport Council. 


  Her first studio was opened in 1992 at Ashlar Golf Club in the Blacktown District of Western Sydney. She began with teaching RocknRoll, Latin and Social Ballroom classes, specialising in teaching children from beginner through to competition levels.
  In 1995 Anna's love of the 1940's led her in another direction when she became involved in the Swing/Lindy Hop dance craze. In her passion to keep these dance styles alive in Australia, she has trained  and workshopped with the best of international talent, including Frankie Manning, Steven Mitchell, Rhythm Hot Shots, Marcus and Barbl and many more.


  From the initial studio she has now expanded to having classes covering a vast section of Sydney, from the inner west to Emu Plains to Windsor and the Central Coast.


  Blue Suede Shoes Dance School is now a mother and son family run business. Anna with the assistance of her son Justin has brought much success and interest to the studio, and now cover Swing Style as well as RocknRoll.

 

  Anna and Justin takes great pride in their wonderful enthusiastic Staff who have grown from young age students to teachers while learning at Blue Suede Shoes Dance School. Justin also runs the performance dance group Sydney Swing Katz. 

 

Dancing is one of the best forms of exercise for all ages involving males and females.  It is a fun, affordable, effective contact sport and within a few weeks you will see the transformation. You will also be inspired by the music.  Dancing is a great way to meet new people and make new friends and watch your self esteem and confidence grow in the process.
